How do you keep more than 140 farmers engaged while travelling around a working farm in a moving tractor and trailer convoy?
That was the challenge facing outgoing Herefordshire Agricultural Society Chairman Charlie Whitehouse when hosting his annual farm walk in July 2026 for neighbouring farmers, agricultural suppliers and industry leaders.
Hosted across the Whitehouse family’s innovative Herefordshire farm, the event showcased a wide range of modern farming practices. Guests toured the family's 1,000-head dairy goat enterprise before discovering how its milk is transformed into the award-winning Oh My Goat gelato business. Visitors also explored discussions around seed crop production, sustainability and the challenges facing modern agriculture.
The biggest challenge wasn't the content – it was communication.
With attendees travelling between locations on trailers and walking around a busy working farm, a traditional PA system would have struggled to overcome the noise of tractors, machinery, livestock and day-to-day farm operations.
